Whether if you’re getting in late or leaving early, finding something to eat is usually the second thing most people do once they arrive at Walt Disney World Resort. (the first thing they do obviously is jump for try and cry tears of pure excitement)
But depending on the time of the day and the number of days your park ticket are good for, there may be times when you don’t want to waste one day of park admission on a half day.
That’s why most people tend to look for activities to do as well as delicious places to dine once they arrive or before they leave.
In this guide, you’ll discover some of the best restaurants and food options for your travel days, that way you can eat up, shop till you drop, and save your energy for your first park day!
So with that being said, let’s jump straight to the listing.
Best Disney World Restaurants for Travel Days
Here are the best Disney World restaurants for your travel days (your first and last day).
And the best part about some of these is that you don’t need a reservation. Because let’s be honest, delays happen during your travels and the last thing you want to stress about is whether or not you’ll make your dinner reservation because your flight got delayed 2 hours.
So with that being said, let’s jump straight to the listing!
Resort Restaurants
Going to another resort for dining on your arrival day sometimes may be a little time consuming if you don’t have a car.
You, unfortunately, resorts buses (Disney or not) don’t travel from resort to resort.
That’s why you’ll have to take a bus to the nearest park and catch a resort bus from there.
However, if you’re completely fine with that then you’ll love this list of resort restaurants.
But hey, you can always take an uber around Disney to get to some of these restaurants!
Here are some of the best resort restaurants that you can enjoy on your arrival and departure days:
- Your local casual resort restaurant or food court
- Boma
- Grand Floridian Cafe
- Kona Cafe
- Maya Grill
- Trails End Restaurant
- The Wave
- Whispering Canyon Cafe
And the best thing about these places is that most will accept walk ins with a moderate wait.
Disney Springs
Let’s face it, there are times when you don’t want to use your Disney World park ticket on a half day, that’s why most guests tend to flock to Disney Springs.
And who can blame them?
There are plenty of great restaurants, amazing shopping experiences, bowling, entertainment, and so much more!
Here are some of the best restaurants at Disney Springs, some of which don’t require a reservation.
- House of Blues
- Morimoto Asia
- Homecoming Kitchen
- Frontera Cocina
- Paddlefish
- Rainforest Cafe
- Splitsville
Most of these restaurants at Disney Springs are perfect for arrival days only unless you have a later flight or if your’e leaving later on during the day.
Since most of these restaurants don’t serve breakfast, these are the best options if you’re leaving in the morning or around noon.
That’s why it’s better to eat at your hotels eatery.
Room Service
If you happen to get in too late, chances are that most restaurants are closed for the night.
That’s why I recommend getting room service.
It’s quite possibly the easiest way to feed your family.
Off Property
And of course, if you’re staying off property or are willing to travel off Disney Property for food, there are plenty of options available.
If you want it, it’s guaranteed that the Orlando area will have it.
For dinner or lunch, I personally recommend driving down International Drive to look for delicious restaurants. Plus you can also make a day of it and check out the Orlando Eye, Aquarium, shopping malls, and so much more.
Here are some of the best restaurants off Disney World property:
- Yard House
- Outback
- Shake Shack
- Freddy’s
- Golden Corral
- Buffalo Wild Wings
This is just the tip of the iceberg, but these are the most convenient and most popular options out there.
…
Thanks for reading and hopefully you find something delicious to eat at these Disney restaurants perfect for your travel days
Cheers.
