Deciding on a restaurant to eat at in Disney World can be pretty difficult with so many great options that are currently offered.
Thankfully, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has some hidden gems the it comes to delicious foods, uniquely themed restaurants, and cool bars.
This listing will help you find the best food, drinks, and snacks for your upcoming visit to Hollywood Studios. And of course, let’s not forget about all the awesome Star Wars food options that you can enjoy too!
Plus, I’ll even thrown in some dining tips and recommendations to help you save some time and money during your park day. These can come in handy if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan.
In this article, I have ranked the top sit-down (Table Service), the top fast food style restaurants (Quick Service), and the best places to grab a drink, snack, or treat. But just an FYI, I won’t be including any bars or drink-focused spots that do not offer food, in this list.
Please remember that these are just my personal opinions so your experience could be very different.

- The Hollywood Brown Derby
- Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
- Roundup Rodeo BBQ
- 50’s Prime Time Cafe

Just note that in order to diner at these places, you’ll need to either make an Advanced Dining Reservation or join the walk-up list if you are insole of the park.

1. The Hollywood Brown Derby
The best table service restaurant is The Hollywood Brown Derby. This restaurant is a replica of the famous Hollywood California restaurant and it’s always consistently busy.
And as the only signature restaurant inside of the park, this restaurant features some of the best and most expensive menu items of any restaurant at Hollywood Studios.
Their most popular items that you must try include the Our Famous Cobb Salad, Free Range Chicken and Dumplings, and the Grapefruit Cake.
The Hollywood Brown Derby is by far the best restaurant in Hollywood Studios in terms of food quality, but unfortunately, that does come at price.
And if you are willing to game the system, this could be a great restaurant to choose for a Fantasmic Dining Package.
Pros
- delicious food
- cool atmosphere and vibe
- can be romantic in the evening
Cons
- expensive
- can be pretty difficult to get a seat at the lounge
2. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant at Hollywood Studios is an out-of-this-world dining experience that takes you back to the nostalgic 1950s drive-in theaters.
Here, you can dine in vintage cars, watch classic sci-fi movies on a big screen, and enjoy American favorites served by friendly car hops for a unique, retro experience.
You honestly can’t go wrong with burgers, fries, and shakes from this spot. Now, the food won’t be incredible but the overall vibe of the restaurant is so fun and unique and is sure to be a hit with kids.
Pros
- a fun place to enjoy a meal with a show
- prices actually aren’t that bad
- good portion size
Cons
- pretty basic food
- seating is a little tight
- walk-ins won’t get a cool table inside of a car
3. Roundup Rodeo BBQ
At Roundup Rodeo BBQ, you’ll finally be able to feel what it’s like to be one of Andy’s honorary toys. Inside the restaurant, you’ll be surround by Andy’s rode at play which includes everything from train station playsets, western towns, and fun images of your favorite characters.
This is a family style, all you can eat restaurant that dishes out classic bbq foods.
To be honest, the barbecue is not great, and is far from the best barbecue on property. However, the sides and appetizers like the Married Spuds and Slinky Doooooooog’s Mac and Cheese are so good. And let’s not forget about those Prospector’s Homemade Cheddar Biscuits with Sweet Pepper Jelly. They are incredible and honestly could be one of the best foods I’ve ever had at the park.
Lastly, the desserts are kinda whack.
You can check out my full review here.
Pros
- if you love Toy Story then you’ll love this place
- as long as you come for the atmosphere, the food won’t be disappointing
- surprisingly pretty easy to find dining reservations
Cons
- the house-smoked items such as the ribs, brisket, sausage, and chicken are pretty average
- expensive for what you get
- desserts are pretty bad
4. 50’s Prime Time Cafe
50s Prime Time Cafe is a delightful dining spot at Hollywood Studios that will take you back to the 1950s. It’s like stepping into a retro kitchen right out of a sitcom! Friendly “family members” serve classic comfort food while enforcing some playful “table manners.”
Here, you can enjoy a taste of Americana with dishes like meatloaf, fried chicken, and my personal favorite, the peanut butter and jelly milkshake.
It’s a pretty fun and immersive experience that brings the past to life, making you feel like part of the family. That said, if you don’t like interactions, then this restaurant probably won’t be the best spot for you. I can be a little anti-social at times so this restaurant can be a little too much.
Pros
- fried chicken and meatloaf are solid
- great milkshakes
- fun and unique theme
Cons
- not the best for shy people
- won’t be a peaceful or quiet dining experience
5. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano
Mama Melrose is an inviting Italian eatery nestled in the heart of Hollywood Studios. where you’ll step into a cozy trattoria that feels like you’re visiting Mama’s home kitchen.
With warm lighting and rustic decor, it sets the perfect ambiance for a delightful dining experience.
The menu features delicious Italian classics like pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and savory seafood dishes.
For me, this restaurant is a massive hit or miss. Some times the food is great, and other times if just feels like a worse Olive Garden.
But if you’re looking for an alternative to burgers and comfort food, then this is a solid choice.
Pros
- food can be pretty food, but it’s very inconsistent
- cozy dining room
Cons
- pricey for an average quality meal
- food is just okay
6. Hollywood & Vine
Hollywood and Vine is a lively character dining restaurant that offers a glitz and glamour-filled dining experience for guests of all ages.
As the only character dining experience in the park, Hollywood and Vine allows you to meet beloved Disney characters while enjoying a delicious meal during breakfast, lunch and inner.
Unfortunately, the food selection is pretty mediocre. As a result, this restaurant is consistently one of the worst rated in all of Disney World, according to Yelp.
Pros
- great character interactions
Cons
- food is bad
- way too expensive
Best Quick Service Restaurants in Hollywood Studios
Here are all the quick service restaurants at Hollywood Studios ranked from best to worst:
- Ronto Roasters
- Backlot Express
- Woody’s Lunch Box
- Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
- PizzeRizzo
- ABC Commissary
- Catalina Eddie’s
- Rosie’s All American Cafe
- Dockside Diner
- Fairfax Fare
I recommend that you use Mobile Order to save yourself some time at these counter service spots.
1. Ronto Roasters
Ronto Roasters is home to the most popular food item at the park – the Ronto Wrap.
As you approach Ronto Roasters, you’ll see a podracing engine firing up a grill, where mouthwatering Ronto Wraps are prepared.
These wraps are filled with juicy roasted meats and exotic flavors, making them a favorite among visitors. Best of all, there’s also a breakfast version!
2. Backlot Express
Backlot Express is a popular counter service restaurant that is sintered by a bustling movie backlot.
Here you’ll find burgers, teriyaki chicken bowls, salads, and the always favorite chicken strips and fries.
But honestly, the best part about this restaurant is that you can get free refills, which is pretty rare at quick service spots.
You used to be able to find Star Wars themed foods, but unfortunately that is no longer the case, except for the Wookie Cookie.
3. Woody’s Lunch Box
Woody’s Lunchbox is a fun counter service restaurant inside of Toy Story Land. Here, you’ll find some pretty tasty goodies such as the Lunch Box Tart, sandwiches, BBQ Brisket Melt, and my personal favorite, the Totchos.
This is a very good quick service location with a pretty simple menu and great food options.
The only negative about Woody’s Lunch Box is that it is always extremely busy, lines are long, tables are always filled, and Mobile Order always has a distant return window time.
4. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is a working hangar bar where you can fill up on galactic eats at a local Black Spice Eatery inside of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.
My go-to option has been the either the Smoked Kaadu Pork Ribs or the Fried Endorian Chicken Tip Yip.
I really want to love Docking Bay 7 more, but honestly, the food options are a hit and miss for me. I love the Star Wars theming and everything is so immersive, but the menu can be a little too unique for picky eaters. That’s never the case for me, but generally, when I bring friends here to eat, they are always a little intimidated by the menu.
5. PizzeRizzo
PizzeRizzo is a casual neighborhood eatery ran by Rizzo, the wise-cracking Muppet.
This is typical Disney World quick service pizza place that I actually really enjoy. I’m not a pizza snob so this sometimes hit the spot.
If pizza isn’t your thing, you can also find a meatball sub and a pretty tasty cannoli.
I honestly can’t believe that Dave Portnoy gave their pizza a shockingly high score.
6. ABC Commissary
ABC Commissary is a movie studio-inspired commissary that offers a pretty international menu of tacos, buffalo grilled grilled cheese sandwiches, and Mediterranean salads.
ABC Commissary used to be my go-to spot, but this place’s menu changes so much that my personal favorites are long gone.
That said, this is still a good indoor, air-conditioned counter service restaurant that offers a unique spread of entrees that you won’t find elsewhere in the park.
7. Catalina Eddie’s
Catalina Eddie’s dishes out fresh hot personal sized pizza and caesar salads.
It’s a simple eatery with typical Disney quick service pizza.
This place, just like Rosie’s can get pretty busy and seating will fill up fast. Although it’s outdoor seating, thankfully, a majority of seats are covered.
8. Rosie’s All American Cafe
Rosie’s All American Cafe is home to American classics like angus cheeseburgers, food-long hot dogs, those oh-so-popular Disney chicken nuggets, and french fries.
This is probably the most popular and busiest place to eat on Sunset Blvd thanks to its proximity to Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
9. Dockside Diner
The Dockside Diner is an open air “tramp steamer” eatery that serves specialty hot dogs, milkshakes, and cocktails.
Hot dog options include a California BLTA Dog, Bacon Mac and Cheese Hot Dog, Pretzel Hot Dog, and your typical quarter pounder hot dog.
The one major negative of this restaurant is that there is practically no seating.
10. Fairfax Fare
Fairfax Fare serves up savory waffle bowls served with barbecued beef brisket, Korean BBQ pork belly or buffalo chicken.
If you’re a picky eater, I would steer clear.
The menu here always changes so these options could be gone in a heartbeat.
Best Snack and Dessert Spots in Hollywood Studios
Here are the best snack and dessert spots inside of Hollywood Studios that are standalone kiosks or booths that only focus on sweets, snacks, and drinks.
- Oga’s Cantina
- BaseLine Tap House
- Trolly Car Cafe
- Neighborhood Bakery
- Epcot Eats
- Hollywood Scoops
- Kat Saka’s Kettle
- Anaheim Produce
- KRNR The Rock Station
1. Oga’s Cantina
Oga’s Cantina is a lively Star Wars themed bar that’s so fun and unique and kinda makes it feel like you’re in the movies.
As you step into this intergalactic watering hole, known for its lively atmosphere and eclectic clientele, you’ll be greeted by an otherworldly ambiance, with futuristic decor and an energetic soundtrack. The menu features a range of unique and exotic beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, that transport you to a galaxy far, far away.
I recommend that you try the Blue Milk or the Fuzzy Tauntaun.
Unfortunately, the worst thing about Oga’s is the price of their cocktails are pretty high with an average price of $18.
Lastly, skip the snacks. they aren’t good and definitely aren’t worth the price.
Be sure to make an advanced reservation or try to get on the wait-list as soon as you can since this place books up quick.
2. BaseLine Tap House
The BaseLine Tap House is a cool corner pub that specializes in California craft beers and wines. Plus, they also offer some pretty tasty small plates such as spiced almonds, a California cheese and charcuterie plate, and my personal favorite, the Bavarian Pretzel.
3. Trolly Car Cafe
Trolley Car Café aka Starbucks is a cozy spot, reminiscent of a vintage trolley car station. Here, you can fuel up with a variety of delicious pastries, sandwiches, and all of your favorite Starbucks drinks.
All I can say is that you must get the carrot cake cookie. You won’t be disappointed!
4. Neighborhood Bakery
The Neighborhood Bakery is a little Incredibles-themed kiosk that is known for one thing – the Jack Jack’s Num Num Cookie which is a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie that’s big enough for two people to share.
The only bad thing is that there are times when the cookie may be pretty stale and unappetizing so there’s always that risk when you’re ordering it.
5. Epic Eats
Epic Eats is an Indiana Jones style desert canteen that is home to freshly made funnel cakes topped with soft serve ice cream as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
I literally have zero complaints about this spot.
6. Hollywood Scoops
Hollywood Scoops is a simple counter service restaurant that serves ice cream sundaes, brownie sundaes and hand scooped ice cream in a cup or cone. Plus they even offer a couple of plant-based frozen desserts too.
One of the best things about Hollywood Scoops in my opinion is that they will usually always have a seasonal dessert such as a unique sundae or milk shake.
7. Kat Saka’s Kettle
Kat Saka’s is a little food stall that serves sweet and savory popcorns as well as the still-Disneyland-favorite Cold Brew Black Caf (which you can also get spiked with chocolate liqueur).
You’ll also find those cool BB-8 shaped soda bottles here too.
8. Anaheim Produce
If you re’ in the mood for healthy snacks like fruits and veggies as well as some other iconic favorites like churros and Mickey-shaped pretzels, Anaheim Produce got you covered.
You’ll also find craft beers and alcoholic and non-alcoholic frozen beverages.
9. KRNR The Rock Station
KRNR is a little food truck/kiosk that serves frozen Coca cola, lemonade, waffle cones with soft serve ice cream, and floats.
Soft serve ice cream is one of my favorite desserts but unfortunately, every time that I get one from here, it’s always never creamy which is extremely disappointing. It’s nothing compared to the ones you’d find at Epcot or Animal Kingdom.
