When it comes to snacking at Animal Kingdom, there are only a handful of delicious options.
But thankfully, the available snacks are quite delicious.
So with that being said, here are some of my favorite snacks that you must try at Animal Kingdom.
Best Snacks at Animal Kingdom (2023)
Here are my favorite picks that you must snack on while at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park (not listed in any particular order to be honest). And just note that some of these are full blown entrees but I just had to add them to this listing.
1. Night Blossom
A refreshing slushee layered with desert pear and apple limeade topped with passion fruit boba balls.
I’ve never tasted anything like this.
This is by far the most unique and best snack at Animal Kingdom.
Get this from Pongu Pongu inside Pandora (aka Avatar Land).
2. Pongu Lumpia
These things are addicting.
Basically, they are pineapple cream cheese spring rolls dusted with sugar.
Warm and delicious.
You can also get these from Pongu Pongu.
3. Soft Serve Ice Cream
I know I know, you can get soft serve at all the parks. But for some reason, this place along with Crepes de Les Chefs de France at Epcot, just has creamier ice cream.
It could just be my mind, but after trekking the hot park that Animal Kingdom is while also conquering Mt. Everest, this cool treat always hit the spot.
Get this from Anandapur Ice Cream Truck.
4. Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich
This is the only place that you can get double chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream sandwiched into pure enjoyment.
You’ll find this at Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Africa.
5. Grilled Corn on the Cob
I swear it’s impossible to walk towards Kilimanjaro Safari and not see someone walking around with a grilled corn on the cob. I recommend you try it with the African spices, but only if you don’t mind the taste of curry. But don’t worry, you can also get it plain or dipped in butter.
You’ll find this at the Harambe Fruit Market in Africa.
6. Mr. Kamal’s Fries
Hot and fresh, seasoned to order fries topped with delicious seasoning, paired with saffron aioli, honey kimchi ketchup, and tandoori honey mustard.
Get this from Mr Kamal’s in between Africa and Asia.
7. Churros
If you ever have a few minutes to spare, I recommend you pop into the Nomad Lounge and grab these warm, delicious, crunchy churros paired with vanilla crema and chili-strawberry dipping sauces.
8. Lobster Mac and Cheese
While you’re at Nomad Lounge grabbing a drink and enjoying some churros, I also recommend that you get the lobster mac and cheese. It’s so insanely good. It’s not on the menu, but usually your server or bartender will let you know if they have it today or not.
9. Plant-Based Hot Link Smokehouse Sandwich
Not gonna lie, my stomach usually doesn’t like plant-based foods, but man this hot link smokehouse sandwich was just so good. I don’t know if it was the slaw and tangy mustard barbecue sauce, but this was such a nice shock to my tastebuds.
You’ll find this at Flame Tree Barbecue.
10. Cheeseburger Steamed Pods
Steamed cheeseburger pods stuffed with ground beef, mustard, ketchup, pickle and cheese.
You’ll find this at Satu’li Canteen inside Pandora.
11. Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sandwich
Strawberry ice cream served between sugar cookies, rolled in strawberry and vanilla cake crumbs.
Get this from Dino-Bite Snacks in Dinoland USA.
12. Ribs and Chicken Combo
I know it’s not a snack, but I really do love barbecue foods so I had to add this to my “snack” list. Juicy smoked chicken and slightly tender St. Louis style ribs paired with those oh so delicious Disney french fries.
You’ll find this at Flame Tree Barbecue.
13. Chicken Fried Rice
Sometimes, fries, burgers, and chicken nuggets can get tiring. That’s why I think switching things up and getting some fried rice is a nice change of pace.
You’ll find this at Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafes.
14. Cinnamon Glazed Nuts
I dare you to walk past this aromatic booth without grabbing a bag of these warm cinnamon glazed pecans.
You’ll find this from Drinkwallah in Africa.
15. Warm Brownie Sundae
A warm brownie topped with hand-scooped vanilla ice cream, two chocolate chip cookies (Mickey Ears) and a drizzle of caramel.
You’ll this at Tamu Tamu Refreshments.
16. Scar’s Lair
Dole Whip topped with sour-apple syrup. If you like sour snacks, this is essential. On a side note, if you don’t like sour syrup, they also have a sweeter, strawberry syrup option called Simba Sunset.
You’ll find this at Tamu Tamu Refreshments.
17. Dole Whip with Rum
If there’s one thing that separates this Dole Whip from Aloha Isle’s at MK or the one at Pineapple Lanai inside the Polynesian Resort, it’s the fact that you can get it with coconut or dark rum.
You’ll find the Dole Whip Float (21+) at Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Africa. You can also get this from Epcot too.
18. Pork Egg Rolls
If you like those egg rolls that you usually find at your typical local, Chinese buffet, then you’ll feel right at home with these.
You’ll find these at Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafes.
19. Buffalo Chicken Chips
If you like buffalo chicken and bleu cheese, then you’ll love these chips. Plus, it’s a pretty good serving size.
You can get this from Trilo-Bites near the entrance of Dinoland USA.
20. Malva Cake Sundae
This is a very interesting cake, something you won’t find anywhere at Walt Disney World.
Basically, it’s a uniquely tasting warm cake topped with ice cream and drizzled with caramel.
You’ll also find this at Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Africa.
