The Croque Glace from Epcot is by far one of the best desserts inside the French Pavilion.
The Croque Glace is 1 scoop of ice cream, topped with your choice of sauce, pressed warm inside a homemade brioche.
Ice cream flavors that you can get inside this brioche ice cream sandwich include vanilla, candied peanuts with chocolate fudge, chocolate, caramelized pecan, cinnamon caramel apple, coconut white chocolate, coffee, caramel fleur de sel, yogurt and blueberry, mint chocolate, mango sorbet, raspberry sorbet, strawberry sorbet, and piña colada.
The sauces that you can get inside the croque glace are chocolate, raspberry, or caramel.
My personal favorite combo is so simple, yet delicious – vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
Pros
- soft brioche
- creamy ice cream
- the choice of sauces are very good
- you can choose any flavor of ice cream or sorbet
- nicely sized
Cons
- the biggest negative about this dessert is that since it’s pressed warm, it melts quickly, as expected
- can get messy in the summer
- expensive
- line can get pretty long
