The old saying that the best things in life are free could never be more true at Walt Disney World.
Let’s face it, Disney World is pricey.
Whether if you’re looking for a Mickey Mouse soft pretzel or a bag of candied nuts, you’ll be shelling anywhere between $4.25 to $6 just for a tasty, yet small snack.
But did you know that you can actually enjoy some delicious foods, snacks, treats, and drinks, all for free.
Yes, FREE!
10 Best Free Things to Eat and Drink in Disney World
Below, you’ll find the 10 best free things to eat and drink in Disney World. Hint: I saved the very best for last!
(Update: Please note that a lot of these are no longer available due to Covid)
1. Free beverages from around the world at Club Cool
Located near Innoventions West in Future World at EPCOT, you’ll be able to sample Coca Cola products from around the world for free. Plus, since this area is completely self service, you can drink as much as you want! Currently, there are 8 different flavors from around the world, all of which give you a little history about the popularity of the drink in its respective country. It’s amazing!
2. Fireside Marshmallows

Camp fire activities at resorts always offer free marshmallows and roasting sticks. These complimentary campfire activities can be found at 14 Disney Resorts.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s Boardwalk Inn
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
- Disney’s Old Key West Resort
- Disney’s Polynesian Resort
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
- Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
3. Caramel Corn

You can actually get a free sample of caramel corn at Karmel Kuche at the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT. Just head to the far left of the store and politely ask for a caramel corn sample!
4. Free Iced Water

One thing that I rarely ever spend money on at Disney World, no matter what park you’re at is bottled water. This is because all quick service and counter service restaurants will happily serve you a small cup of iced water (lid, straw and all). This will definitely help you save $2.50-$4 every time you get thirsty!
5. Free Frozen Drinks

You can get free samples of Goofy’s Glaciers which are available in a few flavors. It’s a small sample but it’s fantastic way to escape the summer Orlando heat.
6. Free Applesauce or Cranberries during EPCOT Festivals

Usually during the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival or the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, you’ll be able to get free apple sauce to-go packets or Oceanspray craisins. This can usually be found at the front/entrance of the World Show.
7. Cookies and Cotton Candy

You can get free samples of fudge, cookies, or cotton candy at Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom. There will usually be a cast member inside with a tray of goodies begging to be eaten.
8. Free Ice Cream

You can actually get free ice cream after you take a the Disney Vacation Club tour. This tour usually lasts around 2 hours so if you’re not really interested in buying a Disney Vacation Club membership, you’re better off getting some ice cream elsewhere.
9. Free Food Samples When You Take a Free Restaurant Culinary Tour
By taking a free food tour at select restaurants like Jiko, Boma, and Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, you’ll get free samples of their popular foods.
10. Free Chocolate!

Head to Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop at Downtown Disney to get a free sample of one of their square chocolates. All you literally have to do is walk in and a smiling face will greet you with a free chocolate sample.
