Deciding whether to get an annual pass for Disney World can feel like a monumental decision for Disney fans.
It’s not just about the initial cost—around $1,400 a year—but also about planning the perfect vacations to make the most of your pass.
In this article, we’re diving into the exciting world of Walt Disney World annual passes. We’ll walk you through the different types available as well mention any notable perks and benefit.
Not to mention we’ll also breakdown the price of each annual pass as well as how many visits you’ll need to break even from your purchase.
So, with that being said, lets dive right in!
How much does a Disney World Annual Pass cost?
There are currently four different Disney World annual passes to choose from, all of which have different blockout dates.
- Disney Incredi-Pass costs $1,399 ($1,489.94 after tax)
- Disney Sorcerer Pass costs $969 ($1,031.99 after tax)
- Disney Pirate Pass costs $749 ($797.69 after tax)
- Disney Pixie Dust Pass Pass costs $399 ($424.94 after tax)
There are also two add-ons that you can add to your annual pass:
- Disney PhotoPass downloads costs $99 per pass
- Water Park and Sports Option costs $99 per pass
These prices are for all guests ages 3 and over. There is no difference in price for an annual pass for a kid or child (ages 3-9). Kids ages 0-2 receive free admission and are not required to purchase an annual pass.
If you are not a Florida resident, these passes must be paid in full at the time of purchase.

Are there any Florida Resident Annual Pass discount?
No, there is no Florida resident Disney World annual pass discount or special price.
The only thing you can get as a Florida resident is the ability to pay for your pass monthly.
After a downpayment, the remaining cost will be split between 12 monthly payments with 0% APR.
Here’s how much each pass’ monthly payment will be after a $205 downpayment:
- Incredi-Pass = $107.08 per month (12 months)
- Sorcerer Pass = $68.92 per month (12 months)
- Pirate Pass = $49.39 per month (12 months)
- Pixie Dust Pass = $18.33 per month (12 months)
How many visits to get your money’s worth with a Disney Annual Pass?
On average, a 1-Day Disney World park ticket costs $144.
Here’s a quick breakdown of how many days/visits to Disney World you’ll need in order to break even on the costs of every Annual Pass:
With a Disney Incredi-Pass, it will take 11 days for you to break even.
With a Disney Sorcerer Pass, it will take 8 days for you to break even.
With a Disney Pirate Pass, it will take 6 days for you to break even.
And with a Disney Pixie Dust Pass, it will take 3 days for you to break even.
So if you live outside of Florida or are not a DVC Member, but you visit Disney World often, it would take 11 park days in order for you to break even on your Incredi-Pass purchase. For most people, that’s around two or three individual vacations if they spend 4 days at the parks every time they come.
And if you are a Disney Vacation Club Member that opted for the Sorcerer Pass, it will take you 8 days to break even.
Annual Pass vs Multi-Day Tickets
On average, most guests will get a 4-Day park ticket. Although getting the Park Hopper add-on isn’t required, for this example, I’m going to use a 4-Day Ticket with Park Hopper because every annual pass has the Park Hopper option already built-in.
A 4-Day Ticket with Park Hopper costs $640.97 per adult and $623.23 per child (ages 3 to 9).
If visiting the park for 4 days, it is cheaper to get the Pixie Dust Pass if you’re a Florida resident and you can already get your money’s worth after the first vacation.
If you have the Pirate and Sorcerer Pass, you will need 2 separate vacations in order to recoup the costs.
Lastly, it’s technically cheaper to just get the Incredi-Pass if you already plan on buying three separate 4-Day Tickets with Park Hopper for three separate trips.
What do you get with each Disney World annual pass?
Here’s a breakdown of all the perks you’ll get with each pass, including a list of blockout dates, and the amount of park reservations you can hold at one time.

Disney Incredi-Pass ($1,399)
The Disney Incredi-Pass is the most expensive annual pass that Disney World offers and it’s the only one available for everyone to purchase. So if you live out of state and are not a Disney Vacation Club member, this is the only annual pass that you can currently buy.

Water Park and Sports Option ($99 add-on)
With this add-on, you’ll get unlimited visits to both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon waterparks, the ESPN Wide world of Sports Complex, 9 holes of Disney’s Oak Trail golf (or foot golf), and a free daily round of mini golf at both Fantasia Gardens and Winter Summerland (prior to 4 pm).
My Disney World Annual Pass Review
Here’s a quick review of my experience having the Disney Incredi-Pass with the Water Park and Sports Option and whether or not if it’s worth it.
All I can say is that I love being a Disney World annual passholder, and it’s 99.99% worth it, minus the price. But that can easily change if I decide to downgrade down to the Sorcerer Pass.
The best part about the Incredi-Pass is the fact that it doesn’t have blockout dates which is fairly important to me. Even though I very rarely find myself going to the parks during the Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years, it’s nice to know that I can.
That said, I don’t remember the last time that I went to Disney World during a holiday week, so I might be spending an extra $430 for no reason.
I don’t have the PhotoPass add-on but I do have the Water Park and Sports options which is fantastic!
With this add-on, I’m able to go to both Disney water parks as much as I want, as well as get a free round of mini golf at both locations. Not to mention, this pass also gives me a free 9 hole round of golf at Disney’s Oak Trail, which can be used once a day.
By far, use the complimentary admission to Typhoon Lagoon the most since it’s the best waterpark on property. Normally tickets costs $69 per person so I literally only need to go twice to get my money’s worth.
I’ve only used the free 9-hole golf benefit a handful of times only because I’m not a he fan of walking courses. The complimentary Mini-golf benefit on the other hand is used quite often!
The last thing I love about my annual is the discounts I get on dining. With an annual pass, I can get a discount at select restaurants across all the parks, including a few spots at Disney Springs. The discounts can range from 10% to 20%, but 10% appears to be the norm.
The food at Disney World is expensive, so it’s nice to make my table service dining experience a little bit cheaper.
At the end of the day, the Incredi-Pass, although perfect, is an expensive annual pass that is $430 more expensive than the next pass below (Sorcerer Pass).
The only difference between the Incredi-Pass ($1,399) and the Sorcerer Pass ($969) is that the Sorcerer Pass has 19 blockout dates during the year which all happen to be during New Years, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.
The good thing for me, is that I very rarely visit during these holiday periods because it’s way too busy, so I won’t be missing much if I decide to downgrade.
So with that being said, I think that once my passes are up for renewal, I’m going to go with the Sorcerer Pass and save myself $430 ($860 if you count my wife’s AP too).
I’d rather use those savings on holiday party tickets or a couple of Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties.
Final Thoughts
So to sum things up about Disney World annual pass prices…
The Disney Incredi-Pass costs $1,489.94 per person after tax.
The Disney Sorcerer Pass costs $1,031.99 per person after tax.
The Disney Pirate Pass costs $797.69 per person after tax.
The Disney Pixie Dust Pass cost $424.94 per person after tax.
Disney World is already expensive, but if you plan on visiting often, I would highly consider getting an annual pass if it fits your budget and you plan on visiting multiple times a year. You might even end up saving money!
Hope this cleared things up!
