What kind of balloons can you get at Disney World?

The round, foil Character Balloons will last around 2 weeks while the clear Mickey Ear balloons will last anywhere between 3 to 6 weeks.

You cannot purchase balloons at Anima Kingdom because it’s a potential safety hazard for the wildlife in the park.
Balloons are sold at a bus of small stores and stalls at the 3 parks or by a Balloon Cast Member that is walking around with a massive, photogenic cluster of Mickey and Disney character balloons. But if you’re looking for some light-up balloon options, you’ll have to wait until its dark out.
Your best bet to find balloon Cast Members is on Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom, near Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard at Hollywood Studios, and in the Town Center of Disney Springs.

No, you can not go on rides with balloons at Disney World because they pose a serious safety issue.
You do have two options when it comes to storing your balloon before getting on a ride:

Yes and no.
In order to bring a balloon with you on an airplane, it will first need to be deflated.
You can do this yourself or you can stop by the Magic of Disney Store at Orlando International Airport (MCO) and they will gladly deflate your balloon for you without damaging or puncturing it. You can then safely store it in your bag before you board the plane.
And once you get to your final destination, you can then re-inflate it with zero issues.
Are Disney World Balloons worth it?
That is 100% up to you. Yes they do last quite a while and you’ll probably get some great pictures with them, but $15 isn’t necessarily cheap.
If it was me, I’d rather spend that money on a Dole Whip, Turkey Leg, or an avocado margarita at EPCOT 🙂
