Did you know that a handful rides of at Disney World offer a Singer Rider line which can help drastically cut down your wait time at four popular rides? It’s true!
Currently, there are four attractions at Disney World that offer a Single Rider line: Test Track, Rock ‘n’ roller Coaster, Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run, and Expedition Everest.
What is a Single Rider Line?
A single rider line allows guests who wish to ride alone (or don’t mind splitting their parties) to join a separate, typically shorter and quicker line for an attraction.
For example, if a ride has three seats but only two are filled, a single rider will join that party of two.
This free service allows gusts to squeeze in more magic throughout their day by reducing wait times at select popular attractions.
How Long are Single Rider Line Waits?
Single Rider lines usually have a 35% shorter wait time than the posted normal wait time. But this varies greatly on the overall flow of the normal ride, and the type of parties.
For example, Expedition Everest (two riders per row) usually has a 45 minute wait on average, but the single rider line wait is usually around 15 minutes.
One thing to consider though is that this depends entirely on the party sizes in the normal lines. Because seriously, I can’t tell you how many times I was near the front of the single rider line only to realize that almost party in the normal line was 2, 4, 6, etc.
Every Single Rider Line Attraction
Here are all of the single rider line attractions currently available at Disney World:
- Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios
- Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run at Hollywood Studios
- Test Track at Epcot
As of this writing, there are no Single Rider lines at Magic Kingdom.
1. Expedition Everest Single Rider
The queue for Single Riders on Expedition Everest bypasses the entire normal queue of the ride. Plus, it has an entirely different entrance that’s located to the left of Serka Song Bazaar store.
No approximate wait time is posted.
Seat configuration for the ride is 2 seats per row.
2. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Single Rider
The queue and ride experience for Single Riders on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is almost identical to other guests.
No approximate wait time is posted.
Seat configuration for the ride is 2 seats per row.
3. Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run Single Rider
The queue for the Single Rider line misses the entire queue including the Millennium Falcon and Hondo’s repair bay, nor will you be able to see the Hondo animatronic.
You will however get to see the main room as well as the iconic Dejarik Board booth photo op.
No approximate wait time is posted.
Seat configuration for the ride is 6 seats per cockpit.
4. Test Track Single Rider
The queue and pre-ride experience is completely different than the normal queue. If you choose the Single Rider Line, you won’t be able to design your own car for testing, but instead get the option to choose a pre-designed car.
This is also the only ride on this list that actually has a posted Single Rider wait time.
Seat configuration for the ride is 3 seats per row and 6 seats per car.
A few more things about Single Rider Lines
It goes without saying that all guests must meet the minimum height requirements to experience the attraction, even if in a Single Rider line.
Also, guests using the Single Rider line must be at least seven years old.
Lastly, there’s a 99.9999% chance that you will be separated in a Single Rider Line, meaning you won’t be able to ride with your fiends or family if you all decide to join the Single Rider Line. But….that doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
