The Tune-In Lounge is the hidden gem of 50’s Prime Time Cafe.
This bar which is clearly seen by all guests waiting to be seated at 50’s Prime Time Cafe, is a great way to avoid the crowds, grab a drink, and better, dine off the full restaurant menu.
During a solo research day trip to Hollywood Studios for the food blog, I decided to swing by Tune-In Lounge.
This retro bar was really chilled and relaxing and best of all, it was pretty empty.
I popped a squat and was immediately greeted with a smile and handed a menu for 50’s Prime Time.
Without any hesitation, I already knew what I wanted – Aunt Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken and a Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake to wash it down.
After placing my order, my delicious meal arrived in less than 15 minutes.
And boy oh boy I must say, I was NOT disappointed.
The fried chicken was delicious. The meat, tender and juicy. The skin, properly seasoned and crispy. The garlic mashed potatoes, buttery and smooth. And the collard greens, bitter and mushy (like normal). I was pretty darn impressed.
The milkshake was equally as awesome. At first, I was hesitant about the “jelly” part of the milkshake, but after sipping on that creamy, cold milkshake, I could barely even notice the jelly. The milkshake instead was VERY peanut butter-y, creamy, and sweet. And boy do I mean SWEET. It’s probably from that jelly. All in all, this milkshake was pretty good. Lot’s of peanut butter with a hint of grape jelly in the after taste.
Final Thoughts
The Tune In Lounge is a great place to dine solo at 50’s Prime Time and better, avoid the crowds at 50’s Prime Time Cafe.
I will definitely be back again.
