Pros and Cons of Every Animal Kingdom Restaurant
Animal Kingdom, behind Epcot, offers the most culturally diverse food selections of all the Disney World parks.

From Korean BBQ ribs to African curried corn dogs, you’ll find plenty of delicious food and restaurant options to enjoy a nice meal at.

    Best Animal Kingdom Restaurants

Here are the pros and cons as well as dining tips of every Animal Kingdom restaurant.

Plus you’ll even discover some tips to make your dining experience more magical and fulfilling.

    Table Service Restaurants

Here are all the table service restaurants at Animal Kingdom including all the pros and cons, tips, location, price range, and more:

    Rainforest Cafe

    Rainforest Cafe Animal Kingdom

Pros: Coolest atmosphere of any restaurant. Very lively.

Cons: Expensive and not a Disney restaurant. The experience at this location will be the same at any other Rainforest Cafe.

Tips: You can actually call the restaurant directly if there’s no tables available on My Disney Experience.

    Location: Main Entrance

    Price Range: $15-34 / entree

    Official Menu

    Tiffins

    Tiffins

Pros: The only signature restaurant at Animal Kingdom, and it’s brand spanking new. Very extensive menu.

Cons: Expensive and some menu options may be too unique and exotic for most palettes.

Tips: Make an advanced reservation at least 180 days in advance. Since this restaurant is new, expect a shortage of available reservation times.

    Location: Discovery Island

    Price Range: $34-43 / entree

    Official Menu

    Tusker House Restaurant

    Tusker House

Pros: Lots of unique African inspired dishes as well as the opportunity to dine with Safari Donald and his friends. It truly is a pretty cool character dining experience.

Cons: Waits are usually long even with a reservation.

Tips: Always always always make an advanced reservation. Since it’s the most popular table service restaurant at Animal Kingdom, chances of walking in and getting a table are very low.

    Location: Africa

    Price Range: $35 / adult and $19 / child

    Official Menu

    Yak and Yeti Restaurant

    Yak and Yeti

Pros: Great Asian inspired menu, in a restaurant that has a very unique atmosphere. Plus, it’s very easy to dine at without a reservation.

Cons: Food is a little pricey and the unique tastes and Asian culinary influences may not be suitable for picky eaters.

Tips: This restaurant is actually part of the Landry’s Select Club, so if you’re a member, you can get a discount. You can learn more about this here.

    Location: Asia

    Price Range: $19-29 / entree

    Official Menu

    Harambe Fruit Market

    Harambe Fruit Market

Pros: Great place to grab some fresh fruits, drinks, and snacks, pre-safari.

    Location: Africa

    Official Menu

    Mahindi

Cons: Pretty expensive just for some roasted nuts.

    Location: Africa

    Official Menu

    Location: Discovery Island

    Official Menu

    Restaurantosaurus

    Restaurantosaurus

Pros: Huge indoor seating area with a self service drink station which is amazing because Disney quick service restaurants don’t offer free refills.

Cons: Food is average, theme park food.

Tips: Order a regular drink instead of large because you get free refills.

    Location: DinoLand USA

    Official Menu

    Tamu Tamu Refreshments

    Chocolate Waffle

Pros: Feature delicious treats including chocolate waffles and Dole Whip (which you can also get added with coconut rum!)

Cons: No seating area. Your best best would be Harambe Market around the corner.

Tips: Try the chocolate cookie ice cream sandwich. It’s the only place on the resort where you can get these types of cookies.
