Although Aulani is a very expensive Disney hotel, there are some periods throughout the year where you can book some reasonable nightly room rates.
The cheapest time to stay at Disney’s Aulani Resort is early November through mid-December, not including Thanksgiving week.
You will also find some great rates from mid-October to mid-November.
Cheapest Time to Stay at Aulani Resort
Aulani runs a lot of promotions and special offers that can save you upwards of 30% on your entire stay, but that generally requires a 4 or 5 night stay at minimum.
That said, the average rates that I’ve found and listed below are based on the cheapest nightly room rates offered on travel websites like Priceline and Trivago.
Average room rates at Aulani in the entire month of November, excluding Thanksgiving week, average around $504.88 per night. This total price doesn’t include tax.
The average room rate in early to mid-December leading up to Christmas week is $563.80.
If you are to book with Aulani directly on a weekday during these cheaper times of the year, the cheapest room, which is the Standard View with two queens or one king, starts around $569 per night, on average.
If you’re looking for something more spacious, the One-Bedroom Villas starts at $949 per night during this timeframe as well.
Thankfully, Aulani does not have a resort fee, which cuts down some additional costs. If you have a car, you will have to pay for parking which is $37 for self-service and talent. This is a flat rate and doesn’t fluctuate based on the time of year or how busy the hotel is.
How much does it cost to stay in Aulani?
Even though it’s possible to stay at Aulani on a budget, overall, it’s a pretty expensive resort, as expected with anything Disney.
If the numbers just don’t work for you and you don’t see yourself spending that much to stay at this property but you still want to check out the resort, there are some cool things you can do as a day-guest.
Best Time to Go
When I visit Aulani, the best time for us to visit that has the cheapest room rates, best ongoing promotions, and lowest crowd level (especially when it comes to find chairs at the pool), is mid-October to mid-January and mid to late February.
The crowds are low, the weather is great, and rates are pretty affordable, for Disney standards at least. Yes, it’s rainy season, but thankfully the rainfall comes and goes pretty quick, which thankfully doesn’t put a damper on the vacation.
