There are two types of balloons at Disneyland:
Standard Balloons are traditional round balloons that usually have character prints.
Specialty Balloons are the large clear balloons with a second colored balloon in the inside. These Specialty Balloons also come in a light-up version.
How much do Disneyland Balloons cost?
Disneyland Balloons costs between $12 to $20 depending on the type of balloon you get.

Where can you buy balloons at Disneyland?
Disneyland balloons can be purchased at a number of locations at both Disneyland Park and California Adventure.
You can find balloons being sold by a balloon Cast Member on Main Streets USA in Disneyland on or around Buena Vista Street at California Adventure.
What happens if a Disneyland Balloon pops or deflates?
If your balloon pops, deflates, or is defective, bring it to the nearest ballon Cast Member and they will replace it, free of charge.
If you can’t find a balloon Cast Member, bring it to Guest Relations and they will give you a free balloon voucher.
What happens if my balloon floats away at Disneyland?
If your Disneyland balloon floats away, be sure to tell the nearest balloon Cast Member and present your original receipt.
They will usually give you a replacement balloon free of charge, but that’s 100% at the Cast Member’s discretion.
But most of the time, they will gladly give you a replacement balloon.
Can you go on rides with Disneyland balloons?
No, it is not permitted to bring balloons on rides at Disney World due to safety concerns.
However, there are two options available for storing your balloon before enjoying a ride:
- Bring the balloons with you in line and hand them over to a Cast Member. They will safely hold onto your balloons until you get off of the ride.
- Keep your balloon securely tied to your stroller in the designated stroller parking areas. Please be cautious of potential theft and ensure proper vigilance.
Now, let’s say the unthinkable happens and your balloon gets swiped (which is highly unlikely, by the way). Don’t fret! Just find a balloon vendor Cast Member or head to Guest Relations, and they’ll hook you up with a replacement balloon, free of charge.
Are balloons worth it at Disneyland?
That is 100% up to you. Yes, they do last quite a while and I’m more than confident that they’ll bring smiles to faces, but $14 isn’t cheap.
